Yesterday, 7/19/09, we were able to complete the first mural and get about 2/3 of the way through the second mural.
We were down to 17 squares to color in this photo. A group of people at the table started coloring like mad so that they could see the final result. What a hoot!

Here’s the completed mural. Later this week I’ll be taking some close-up photos to add to this blog.

So what do you do when you finish one mural? You start another. The personality of this one started out very different from the first one; more things were added in the white spaces and some of the coloring became more abstract. What a difference a day makes 🙂

Making progress…

da Vinci Days ended before this mural could be finished. We are 28 squares short.
My plan is to set up at one of the picnic tables under the trees behind the Saturday farmer’s market this Saturday morning, 7/25/09, with mural, squares, and supplies in hand recruiting people to help me finish this mural. If you’re in the area come find me and let’s color!
