I completed this series on 7/6/2010.  Here’s how the 6 Gemstone ATCs go together.

ATC Gemstones 1-6

ATC Gemstones 1-6

It goes 1 – 3 across the top, and 4-6 on the bottom.  Each card is 2.5″ x 3.5″.  I created the overall design by putting all the blank cards together and lightly drew it out crossing over the edges.

Our local chapter of the Color Pencils Society of America, DC 201 – Portland, OR, is participating in the Art Trading Card swap as part of the upcoming CPSA National Show in Los Gatos, CA later this month.

I decided to do a series of 6 that when put together will form a new piece, like a puzzle.

For the entire series, I used prismacolor pencils; specifically:  lemon yellow, canary yellow, scarlet lake, crimson red, true blue, copenhagen blue, indigo blue, black grape, black cherry, dioxide purple, white, and the colorless blender.

This is the first piece, which goes in the upper left hand corner.
